The Avenue of Rainbows is a unique and special resting place for children. It provides non-denominational children’s lawn graves, highlighted with a selection of colourful roses and flying kites.
Bronze plaques placed on pre-existing polished granite beams provide a point of reflection for those visiting.
The Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust holds a Children’s Christmas Remembrance Service each year early in December. This annual event was established after families expressed a desire to remember their loved ones that are no longer with them, at Christmas. This service is held at Springvale Botanical Cemetery and all are welcome.
Bunurong also holds a Christmas Remembrance Service, remembering children and adults.
