The Southern Aurora Centre is Bunurong Memorial Park’s central hub, providing world-class services and facilities for our community.
The alfresco cafè-florist concept, Cafè Vita et flores, is an atmospheric family-friendly destination. A few steps on you will encounter a suite of five stylish function rooms. Named in honour of Australia’s iconic landscape artists, these contemporary spaces provide ideal environments for families to honour and celebrate.
A fourth multi-purpose reflection space, The Sanctuary, sits on the edge of Lake Australis and is easily accessed via the spectacular memorial bridge, The Crossing.
The Southern Aurora Centre also features the striking memorial Wall of Honour and, within the heart of the centre, two serene multi-faith Solace Rooms provide for private reflection and quiet meditation.
Each of Bunurong Memorial Park’s four distinctive Reflection Spaces provide beautiful contemporary settings in which to honour and celebrate. These community venues have been thoughtfully designed to accommodate a variety of events, such as family gatherings, plays, school concerts and weddings.
Stylishly decorated in natural tones, they can be booked individually or combined for larger groups. Whether you choose the Storrier, Beckett, McCubbin, Streeton or Nolan rooms, you are assured of quality in-house catering by our own Café Vita et flores.
For your convenience, our onsite florist offers a superb range of fresh bunches and floral arrangements daily.
The Resurrection of Saint Lazarus Greek Orthodox Church was built by the Greek Archdiocese and is located within the grounds of Bunurong Memorial Park, adjacent to Lake Australis. The church is available for services with the permission of the Greek Archdiocese and we can put you in touch with the Archdiocese, if you would like a service held here.
