Our history

Bunurong Memorial Park was established in 1995 when the administration office was built, major earth works and landscaping started and the construction of roads completed. An extensive irrigation system was also developed. The first burial occurred on 8 February 1996, and since then, over 30,000 burials and cremations have taken place within the 100 hectare (247 acres) site.

Our continuing care of the park

At Bunurong Memorial Park we are proud of our contemporary Australian landscape and the inspirational places in which to honour and celebrate life. Our skilled maintenance teams, arborists and horticulturists work year round to keep our grounds in pristine condition.
